Taiwan Information Security Center

At the Taiwan Information Security Center we focus on three directions of development : theoretical discussion, practice-oriented research, and professional training and education. TWISC connects academia, industry and government in a cooperative effort to investigate cutting-edge technical and theoretical developments in information and communications security and to develop new standards. We believe our efforts will provide students the opportunity to acquire practical skills and promote the value of academic research.

    TWISC 2.0 leverages its predecessor TWISC capability, collaborates with domestic industry and international labs to build an National information & communication security advanced research center. The main research axis and goals are: (1) build up mobile device and IoT end-point security; (2) R&D data & privacy protection core technology; (3) integrate next-generation communication network and set up cloud service security testbed; (4) provide information security test service to public sector; (5) collaborate with academia and industry. There are four affiliated regional centers respectively in northern, central and southern Taiwan at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (TWISC@NTUST), National Chiao-Tung University (TWISC@NCTU), National Chung Hsing University (TWISC@NCHU) and National Cheng-Kung University (TWISC@NCKU). The headquarters (TWISC@AS) is established within and funded by the Research Center of Information Technology Innovation, Academia Sinica.
